No. Do not cook food over colored flames. Mineral residue carries in the smoke and ash and can settle on food. Enjoy the color first, then let the effect burn out before you bring the marshmallows over.

There is no added fragrance, and the packet does not create smoke on its own. What you smell and see is the wood fire. As always, sit upwind and keep the area ventilated.

Keep unused packets well out of reach of pets, and keep animals away from the fire as you normally would. Dispose of cold ash responsibly rather than spreading it on garden beds or near ponds.
